How do you vet the carers on your website?

Before carers are allowed to advertise their services on our online platform, all carers undergo a thorough vetting process. This includes a values-based interview, background checks, and verification of the required qualifications and experience to provide excellent care without support. As a final stage, we meet every single carer in person.

Interviews are designed to answer the question, “would we want this person to look after our own loved one?”. In addition to kindness, compassion and a commitment to caring with dignity - critical in a great carer - we look for good communication skills and initiative.

Background checks are undertaken by the third party verification organisation Onfido. These checks include a criminal records check, an identity and proof of address check, and a right to work check.

We require that all carers have a minimum of a year’s professional care experience, as well as proof of qualifications in line with industry guidelines from Skills For Care.
